Peaceful Sand Lake is located 20 minutes north of Grand Rapids.  This 150 year old village originated as a lumber town, but more recently has been recognized for its many years of  providing a fun filled 4th of July Festival.  Four to five days of carnival rides, street dancing, craft and novelty sales, kiddie's day, and a spectacular fireworks display at 11:00 pm on the 4th is what brings back our friends and family year after year.

The Village is wrapped around the south and east shore of beautiful Sand Lake.  Mature oak and maple trees line the streets giving this community a feeling of being home.  The very active downtown offers a little bit of everything from restaurants, bargain shopping, veterinary services, libations, gasoline to service organizations such as the Lions Club, Eagles Club, and our (4) church's; Mary Queen of Apostles, Ressurection Lutheren, United Methodist, and Church of the Full Gospel.  We welcome visitors to stop by for a visit on your way to and from Grand Rapids.

The Grand Marshals for the July 4th Grand Parade are all of the American men and women, in absentia, who have sacrificed their lives in all of the wars in which our Armed Forces have served so that every person all around our nation today is able to celebrate Freedom.  On July 4th, we will choose the eldest Veteran present to lay a wreath in memory of all of our “Grand Marshals” to whom we humbly offer our thanks and respect.
